לרוע המזל היה זה יום סתווי עם הרבה רוחות. קצת אחרי הנאומים ותוך כדי הכיבוד קל והתכנסות בא משב רוח די חזק, כולנו כמעט עפנו. אבל הכל נשאר במקום בסופו של דבר. אמרתי לו "לכל הרוחות", אמר לי "עזוב עזוב". ואז בא משב עצום שהעיף את כל הכסאות מטה, את כל הכיבוד הקל ישר לקריה וגם את כל העותקים הקיימים של המילון הפסיכומטרי החדש. הרוח העיפה גם את החבר שלי, אני תפסתי אותו בשנייה האחרונה, אוחז בקצות ציפורני. "לכל הרוחות!!" צעקתי וניסיתי למשוך אותו בחזרה. "עזוב עזוב" צעק אלי בעצב. 

Doctors are some of well-paid persons in the world, and although this ranges from specialty, say neurosurgeons’ or cardiologists, they still top the payment chats. The funny thing about being a doctor is that, although they are paid lavishly, most of them lead a simple life simply from the nature of their work. For you to become a certified doctor there are many things you will have to sacrifice, because it is demanding. Doctors are required to respond to duty calls even in the heart of the night, and have to do it without question. Nevertheless, all this comes from one channel, studying for medicine. The process of studying medicine is long and challenging, and some people do not sail through the whole training period.

Challenges in getting accepted to study medicine 
 The first trauma in learning and practicing medicine starts with how one will be accepted in the school. Medical schools receive thousands of applications from aspiring students every year, and they have to go through a process of picking only the most qualified for the job. This means that some people, even though qualified, might never see the door of a medicine school from the first application. This equation has created a harder experience for aspiring doctors, which then makes them have to choose another career for a better life and avoid getting depressed in the process. Many people have failed to receive invitations to study medicine because thousands and thousands of young persons in America alone are aspiring to become medical doctors.

Another challenge in studying medicine in America is because it is an expensive course. One has to cough out huge sums of money as fees to study medicine, and although this can be earned back after one has been confirmed as a doctor, many families do not have the leverage to afford it. With medicine being one of  the most expensive courses to undertake, only students from rich families, and those that get scholarships for the same get to sail through in the learning career. It is also due to this reason why many people drop out from medical schools from fees related issues, and inability to raise such huge amounts, thus a wasted chance.

The other reason why a lot of faith and trusting is required when one applies for a medical school is the fact that, there are a limited number of medical schools. As compared to the mass numbers of students who would like to study medicine and the schools’ capacity, this makes it harder for almost everyone interested in the career to get in. it takes a lucky person to get in, and be accepted to learn and study medicine. It is due to this reason why some people have chosen to go for alternative medicine courses like phlebotomy among others. The funny thing about being a medical practitioner is that, as long as you have studied another course in the same field, advancing the course to become a fully certified doctor becomes easier. This is the only alternative to getting to study medicine, and many people are employing the tactic. It is however time consuming to undertake this alternative.
